Howard Dreitzer, who led the successful launched of the banked card games at three Seminole Casino facilities in Florida, has been named Chief Operating Officer for Seminole Gaming. His appointment to his new position was announced by Seminole Gaming Chief Executive Officer James F. Allen on August 14th, 2009.
Allen said that since joining the Seminole Tribe's gambling operation in early 2008, Howard Dreitzer has been invaluable in the launched of their banked card games like baccarat at both Seminole Hard Rock casino and the Seminole Casino Immokalee. Allen said that he is very confident that Dreitzer's future contributions to the gaming operations of the Seminole tribe will be even more important.
In his new position as Chief Operating Officer for Seminole Gaming, Dreitzer assumes responsibility for operations management of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos in Hollywood and Tampa, Florida as well as the Seminole Casinos in Coconut Creek, Hollywood, on the Immokalee Reservation in Naples, on the Brighton Reservation northwest of Lake Okeechobee and the Big Cypress Reservation south of Lake Okeechobee.
Dreitzer had been Senior Vice President of Casino Table Games for Seminole Gaming, a position he had held since March 2008. He managed the 2008 launched of banked card games and other games with the go signal of the US Department of the Interior, which validated the gambling compact signed by the Seminole Tribe and Florida in 2007.
Before joining Seminole Gaming in March 2008, Dreitzer was Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Conrad Jupiters Gold Coast gaming resort in Queensland, Australia. Dreitzer worked directly for Caesars Entertainment, which operated the resort and he managed overall resort operations for Conrad Jupiters and Conrad Treasury. He was previously the Vice President and General Manager of Casino Operations of the Conrad International Treasury Casino and Hotel in Brisbane, Australia.
Dreitzer's previous work in the US casino gaming market included Harrah's Casino in New Orleans, LA, where he was Senior Vice President of Casino Operations and Chief Operating Officer for 3 years.
