Sault Tribe Introduces Plans for Greektown Casino Facility

Members of the Sault Tribe are invited to learn the latest information about the Sault Tribe's Greektown Casino facility in an informal gathering to be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on July 7, 2007, in Ontario I room at the Kewadin Casinos Hotel and Convention Center in Sault Ste. Marie.

The gathering will showcase artist paintings and photographs of the new permanent facility of the Greektown Casino, which is still under construction in one of the most popular areas in Detroit.

The gathering gives the members of the tribe a chance to learn the beginnings of the Greektown Casino, see the progress of the permanent gambling casino facility and have their questions answered by casino officials.

The gathering was requested by the Sault Tribe board of directors and the chairman, who said that it is vital for the members of the tribe to have access to information about the tribe's biggest investment.

The Sault Tribe made an important investment in Detroit so that they could provide profits for the Sault Tribe's programs and services with the Greektown Casino.

The casino is now preparing to open the first phase of their facility, which is the parking area and the pedestrian walkway in the fall of 2007. A 400 room hotel facility and a larger gambling area will be completed in the fall of 2008.
