Optelecom-NKF and Southwest Surveillance Systems Collaborate for Indian Casino Venture

On September 24th, 2007, the Optelecom-NKF Incorporated, a manufacturer of advanced IP-video network solutions, video servers, Ethernet switches and others announced that they have been chosen by gambling industry systems integrator Southwest Surveillance Systems to provide security solutions for an Indian-owned casino facility in Southern California. The financial terms of the contract were not discussed.

The casino facility is one of the top entertainment and gambling spots in Southern California. The casino receives millions of tourists annually and awards about $2 billion in cash prizes and gifts.

Under the agreement, Optelecom-NFK will give their chassis mounted 9131 4 channel uncompressed video cards, 9591 multi-format digital cards and 9942 network management transmission technology especially for video, data and audio.

It will allow the customer to see the video content from security cameras from the gambling floor and at the parking area. Optelecom-NKF's President and Chief Executive Officer Ed Ludwig said that they are happy about their collaboration with Southwest Surveillance Systems. They are excited to part of Southwest's goals to give their customers a safe and exciting gambling environment to their customers.

Southwest Surveillance Systems was established in 1991. The company's goal is to give top class video surveillance systems to their customers from the casino industry.
